The De Toren Lot Raises R 400,000 for Charity
The AfrAsia Bank Cape Wine Auction, held 12 and 13 February 2016, was an exhilarating global showcase of South Africa’s finest wines and a fundraiser to channel the money raised into an area that needs it most; education. Governed by a Board of Trustees and audited by PWC, The AfrAsia Bank Cape Wine Auction maintains complete transparency and ensures the sustainability of the projects we support.
De Toren is a founder member of this fundraiser and has been on the organising committee from Day One.
This year’s Lot was a commissioned piece of art from world renowned Swedish artist, Clas Hakansson and is the first
time that the artist has integrated a crystal bottle into a painting. The glass bottle was created by the artist and produced e by world famous glass producer, Kosta Boda of The Kingdom of Crystal, Sweden.
