The 2014 season started off slightly cooler, turning warm to moderate during the ripening process. These were perfect conditions for quality grapes. This is reflected in our Merlot-led De Toren Z 2014 to be pre-released in June 2016.
The wine is pure and focused whilst showcasing red fruit, mulberries and blueberries with a creamy finish on the nose. The palate reveals finely knit and juicy mouth-coating tannins which finish off vibrantly. The De Toren Z 2014 is indicative of the vintage and terroir. This wine loves cuisine and pairs well with rich and spicy dishes, not to forget an espresso dusted chocolate cake goes down a treat. This is a vintage not to be missed.
